The cover of Spaces… with our wreath

Here at Blue Bouquet, we love to take age-old floral arrangement ideas and look at them with a fresh perspective.

During this last 2007 Holiday Season, we did just that. Did we create a wreath with traditional greens? Nope! We used primarily white Hydrangea. What about pine cones? Wrong again! We used Artemisia and Birch as filler and accents. Red berries? Nah! Snow berries and crystal chandelier drops.

The resulting wreath glimmered and shined. Instead of mimicking a traditional Christmas tree, our wreath reflected a snow covered landscape!

Did anyone like our wreath? Well, Spaces Kansas City liked it so much that they put it on the cover of their Holiday 2007 issue magazine. And furthermore, the wreath was featured at DIFFA’s (Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids) Annual Holidays by Design benefit. Against a myriad of other wreaths, it fetched one of the highest prices in the auction, contributing a healthy sum to the battle against aids.
