Neil Carr

Designer, Color Junkie, Weekend Songwriter

When Neil was six years old, he was given a paint-by-numbers set. Fascinated by the colors, he didn’t finish his chores or homework that day. He didn’t even go out to play with the kids up the street. By experimenting, Neil discovered that he could create new colors by mixing paint. Unfortunately, all the paint dried out during his experimentation, and Neil never finished the paint-by-numbers.

Neil Carr, Blue Bouquet Designer.

A few years later Neil went off to college to study color theory and design at a higher level. He graduated with honors and snagged a job at a great Kansas City firm, designing for companies like JP Morgan, Sprint, Royal Bank of Canada and the Kauffman Foundation.

Though Neil had previously designed invitations and programs for corporate events and charity galas, it was Drue that truly got him into the world of event design. Neil’s formal training and cerebral approach to design are a perfect compliment to Drue and her instinctive talents.

When Neil isn’t working on an event, you can find him in his living room writing songs or trying to play one of his many instruments. At the moment there are several guitars, a bass, a piano, an accordion, a xylophone, a trumpet, a trombone, a clarinet, a banjo, a few harmonicas, a kazoo and best of all, a pedal steel. All that and a fuzzy weiner dog.
